This preliminary announcement is to help people from outside the UK to plan itineraries and book in good time for the York 2-day workshop, and, if they wish, the one and a half day ASLTIP conference that follows.

Dr Caroline Bowen will present a 2-day workshop in York for speech-language professionals and students, on March 9 and 10, 2011 (in the UK National Year of Speech, Language and Communication). This will be followed by the ASLTIP Independent Practice Conference from noon Friday March 11, and all day on Saturday March 12, 2011 in the same venue, The Royal York Hotel. Both of these events are open to all SLPs/SLTs (not just ASLTIP members).

Details of fees, etc. will be available soon. Meanwhile, all enquiries from the UK and worldwide, including requests for "letters of invitation" to support release time from work, and/or visa applications, should go to ASLTIP.

About the Presenter
Caroline Bowen PhD, CPSP is a Speech-Language Pathologist in private practice in the Blue Mountains outside Sydney, Australia, and serves as an Honorary Associate in Linguistics at Macquarie University. In an uninterrupted 40 year career, her workload has developed into an enjoyable mix of hands-on clinical practice, research and writing. Current interests include child speech, family centred practice, clinical applications of information and communication technology, and being on both the giving and receiving end of continuing professional education.
