Republic of Burundi

Republic of Kenya
 

Kenya Association of Speech and Language Therapists (KASLT)
KASLT holds monthly speech therapy meetings (usually the last Friday of the month) at various locations around Nairobi. Meetings are used to discuss current projects, work issues and specific cases. Please contact one of the members below for details about the next meeting.

KASLT members are also affiliated with Special Education Professionals. KASLT hosts an annual speech therapy conference. Click here for a photo from the 2nd East African Speech Therapy conference. The 3rd East African Speech Therapy Conference will take place between September 7th- 11th 2009 in Nairobi.

Clients and potential clients
If you are seeking speech therapy services KASLT members hold positions in: the Aga Khan Hospital (Mombasa and Nairobi), Nairobi Hospital, Gertrude's Children's Hospital, and Cactus Clinic (Westlands) and other locations.

Therapists and teachers interested in volunteering

Bea is a passionate internationalist and Speech-Language Pathologist with first hand experience as a volunteer SLP in this fascinating and beautiful country with its friendly people.


Republic of Rwanda

United Republic of Tanzania
 

There are currently two internationally certified speech language pathologists in Tanzania. One works in Dar Es Salaam and the other in Moshi. Information will be posted once permissions have been granted.

Subject: REQUEST FOR EARS DIAGNOSIS MATERIALS AND BOOKS ILLUSTRATION DISEASE.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are coming before your project which we have here in both Nyarugusu and Lugufu camps in Kigoma region/Tanzania.

Mission Evangelique Ephata "MEVE" was made up for people who have problems of both speaking and listening, it means deafs and dumbs people.

The main activities of ths project are:-To diagnose ear and to correct the speech improvement if possible of those sick persons.

-To educate peoples in Nyarugusu and Lugufu camps about diseases and their cause.

-To give to those sick person, the new gospel of Jesus Christ, we want MEVE ASBL to unfold in order that to change the life of those sick person called vulnerable.

Seeing that the treatment of those disease is not in those camps reason why we came weep before your highest personality, to help those sick persons on treatement.

We demand your support in materials which is diagnosing the ears and books of illustrations if it may be available to you. We want to correspond with your, we hope our request will get the favorable answer from your office.
